Calvary Baptist Church History
The need for another Baptist church was felt in March of 1942. The new church was to be built in what was called "New Town".
This move was made only because they wanted to reach people for the Lord in a more satisfying manner to both God and to the people.

Directions to Calvary Baptist Church
From I-20
- Take the ROAD 144 exit- EXIT 11- toward GRANITEVILLE.
- Turn onto BETTIS ACADEMY RD. and continue to stop light
- Turn LEFT onto ASCAUGA LAKE RD. End at 194 Ascauga Lake Rd, Graniteville, SC
From Aiken
- Take the 118 Bypass to the Aiken Augusta Highway.
- Continue straight to Greg Hwy. This will be a left turn at the blinking light.
- Go to the end of Greg Hwy and turn left onto Canal St.
- Take a right onto Ascauga Lake Road.
- The church will be on the right.
